Lame Post

Warning: The post you are about to read contains no pictures.

I combined my lunch and dinner post because I don't have any pictures. I forgot my camera at my desk during lunch so I wasn't able to take any pictures. I didn't take pictures of my dinner because it was leftovers and not very exciting but I'll try to recreate both meals for you.

My sister and I decided to have sister bonding time and went to Jake's City Grille for lunch. Since the weather was warm we sat outside on their patio. It felt like summer, but only for a short while. It took us awhile to order because everything looked great. I finally decided on the Herbed Cream Cheese and Roasted veggie sandwich on toasted ciabatta bread. Ren ordered the Margherita pizza. My sandwich was delicious, it had grilles portabellas, red peppers, cucumbers, tomato, and spinach. I LOVE ciabatta bread. I only ate half because it was reallybig and filling. I asked for the herbed cream cheese to be left off. I had a few fries as well. As we were eating lunch, the clouds kept getting darker and the wind picked up. We lucked out because as soon as we went across the street to Starbucks, it started pouring. At Starbucks, I had a tall coffee and Ren and I split a fabulous piece of dark chocolate cake. Chocolate heaven. We were stuffed afterwards, but the splurge was worth it.

Since it was raining when I got home from work, I caught up on some of my favorite shows. I watched Grey's from last week, it was so good! I also watched The Hills. Yes, I know it's not "real" but I'm hooked ;)

Lunch kept me full for so long that I didn't even need a snack this afternoon. I did snack on a couple of baby carrots while dinner was ready. Dinner was just leftovers from last night's corn and bean tortilla lasagna and some grilled yellow squash. Once again, the lasagna did not disappoint. And of course, I had a glass of red wine.

My friend asked me if I would accompany her to a friend's birthday thing at a bar tonight. I was hesitant at first because it's in St. Paul and I don't want to be tired tomorrow. But my mom said "you're young and should go have fun", so I took that as a hint that I need to get out more often. It's not that I don't like going out, I just like my sleep and relaxation ;) My friend promised me we would be home by 10:30 and that she'd buy me a drink so I have no excuse!

Alright, I have to go figure out what to wear. Too bad my sweats aren't cute! Have a good night ya'll! I promise tomorrow's posts will be more exciting and filled with pictures!

Have fun tonight! Lunch sounds delicious, I've never heard of that place before. And I bet last night's dinner tasted even better the second time around...

oh and I'm the same way with going out vs. staying in and relaxing :)

No worries - you described everything wonderfully, so there's no need for photographs :0)

Not dull at all! Sounds like a fun night. I have to force myself out sometimes too, it's just like "ugh, so laaaaaaazy," but I always have a great time

mmmm, that lasagna sounds and looks really good. I may have to try making that soon - even though I'd be eating the whole thing because I know my husband won't try it!!
